The news of how amazing Grange Park’s Glee Club was spread like wildfire and before long, we were inundated with requests to perform at a whole host of venues across the city.
In the Summer Term, Glee Club worked very hard with Cat from the School of Rock and Pop to put together a concert that showcased the best songs from the best band in the world – Beatlemania!
As part of our community outreach work, we took this show on the road to entertain the residents of Alexandra View Care Home. As always, this was very well received and some of the residents even had a dance!
As Albany house is only a stone’s throw away from Grange Park, we invited the residents to make the short journey into our school to join parents and governors as part of the audience in our newly refurbished school hall. We got our best china out and served tea and cake in our Conference Room before the concert started.
All of the Glee Club worked so hard to make Beatlemania such a success but special thanks must go to Lille Mae for her stunning solo, Harry for his role as the Paperback Writer and Danny for being a rock god!
