At Grange Park Primary, we recognise the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of our children. We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children.

Each class has a designated time for PE. Please ensure your child comes to school prepared. They need their full Grange Park PE kit and will need to remove earrings prior to the session. If your child is unable to remove their own earrings, please remove them before coming to school.
PE days are as follows.
Year 1 and Year 2: Wednesday
Year 3 and Year 4: Tuesday
Year 5: Thursday
Year 6: Friday
Reception and some children from Year 3 and 4 also go swimming on a Tuesday. Please ensure your child has their swimming kit.
25/30 (83%) of our Year 6 children have met the national standard for swimming.
During the Autumn term, we hosted a series of competitions at Grange Park.
First, we held a spinning competition - using our top of the range spinning bikes! KS1 children cycled for two minutes - non-stop - and KS2 cycled for one minute each, three times and then calculates the average of their pedals per minute.
Next, we had a hula hoop challenge where each child was timed for how long they could hula hoop!
We had a special 'sports' themed assembly where children were awared with medals for first place, as well as for super effort. The staff even got involved in the competition and we had a live final in assembly. It was so much fun! Please take a look at our photos below.
