Welcome to Year 6!
Our topic for the last three weeks of term is 'The Tall Ships'. We are very lucky that Sunderland is going to be a host port for the races and Year 6 will be heading down to see the Tall Ships over the next few weeks! You will receive a letter about this shortly.
Our autumn term topics will be Ancient Greece and Computational Thinking and Creativity.
We will also be taking part in a few extra P.E sessions to get ready for Sports Day! For the next three weeks, please make sure you have a labelled Grange Park P.E kit in school every day. Check back later for our P.E days for September.
Please remember to that our 'Everybody Every Night' still stands. Make sure you have read at home and had your reading diary signed by an adult. Thank you for all the parental support for reading at home. This makes such a difference to your child's progress!
Children will still receive homework from their Power Literacy and Power Maths teachers on a Monday which will need to be returned by the Friday. If any help is needed with homework, please see your group teachers for help before Friday.
Year 6 are very lucky this year as Mrs Graham will also be around on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to help your children make fantastic progress and ensure they are ready for the SATS next year.
Thank you for all of your support. I am absolutely delighted to be teaching such a wonderful class for the second time!
