British Science Week

We have been channelling our inner scientists this week. Friday 11th March saw our Middle Garden open up to the school community. Our Middle Garden has been created, with a wonderful grant from the amazing people at THE REECE FOUNDATION, to support our STEM curriculum and offer our pupils the chance of working in different environments. Our grown ups from home came into school to help with lots of outdoor investigations. We used a fantastic Kick-Start bid we received from British Science Week to fund this amazing event and we were blown away by how many people turned up to each event. In class, we continued the STEAM theme and explored all things engineering. This year, we are taking part in the Young Engineers competition. After taking part in question and answer session with different engineers, we thought about problems in everyday life and how we could solve them. Then, we wrote Dragon's Den style letters to convince the judges to pick our inventions. We can't wait to see if any of our inventions are shortlisted - watch this space!!!!

We investigated the perfect ratio of washing up liquid to water to get the perfect bubble.

We found frogs and froglets.
