Queen's Jubilee Day

The Queen has been on the throne for seventy years so we partied like it was 1953! Grange Park had a day filled with activities with a traditional street-party on our playground to celebrate the Queen's reign. Cucumber sandwiches, traditional party games and a dress-up themed day made our jubilee day very special. We all had an ice-cream treat in the middle garden and even had our pictures taken on a wooden throne dressed as kings and queens.

'When we sat at the street party eating the hotdog with the music playing'
'Playing traditional games outside, was my favourite. It was great the whole class playing together'

'I enjoyed playing rounders, Mrs Pyke got me out

'The best part of the day was having popcorn and watching the movie, it is nice to celebrate at school with my friends'
'The green screen photo is great, it looks like we are sitting on a throne'
'I enjoyed to procession around the school with the music playing'
'Making crafts and displaying them was my best part; I felt proud of my creations'

'Ice-cream in the middle garden was a real treat'
