Year 2 have been taking part in a special wheelchair basketball session with Tees Valley Mohawks who they will continue to work with for five weeks. The first session went extremely well - the children have started to learn a new sport and gained an insight into just how tricky it is to move around in a wheelchair.
A healthy snack at break time is a great way to re-energise!
Throughout the year, children took part in a family cookery sessions. Parents and carers came into school to cook a healthy meal from scratch with their children. This provides children and their parents with the opportunity to learn about how to use different ingredients as well as basic cooking skills.
Have a look at some of our Year 2 children making chicken nuggets from scratch. They loved handling the chicken and were all very proud of themselves for cracking the egg first time.
