Lydia's 100th

In February, we were asked by Maple Court Care Home to help celebrate the birthday of a lady called Lydia who was turning 100 years old.

We were told that she loves musicals and the seaside so our theme for her birthday was based around her interests. 

Each child in school made a birthday card for Lydia and each class learned a song from one of her favourite musicals. Year 6 even baked her a cake!

UKS2 - The sound of music - So long fair well

The school met outside for a socially distanced sing-a-long and to to sing happy birthday in the garden. 

Lydia's family and friends were overwhelmed by the generousity of our children and her son wrote to us to give his thanks!
